Quick trip to Natchez

It was Luci’s spring break and we booked The Dixon in Natchez, MS. We invited my mom, sisters and daughters in law. Only Mom and Tay could join us. The Dixon is a lovely AirBnB right on Main Street. There are 3 huge bedrooms.

We drove down the Trace Sunday afternoon and stopped in Churchill Mississippi for lunch at Churchill Variety. We highly recommend it. We got the Sunday special which was fried chicken and all the fixings. Across the street is Christ Church https://www.christchurchchurchhillms.org/ which dates back to the 1820s.

We then drove the 20 minutes to Natchez and did a little shopping and checked into The Dixon. We sat on the porch for a little while before we went to dinner. We were hoping to go to the Magnolia Grill down under for the sunset, but there was an hour wait. We ended up at 1818 https://www.monmouthhistoricinn.com/ at Monmouth and it was delicious.

The next morning, we did a little bit of shopping before we went to lunch at Pearl Street Pasta. It was great! That afternoon we drove to Saint Francisville, LA for some light shopping. It’s an about an hour drive and a darling quaint town. Monday afternoon, when we got back, we went to visit a friend of mine who has bought a beautiful home right on the river. https://natchez.org/education/historic-natchez/magnolia-vale. That evening we dined at The Camp. It is super local and has an amazing sunset. We drove through the historic Malt Shop for dessert!
