Quick trip to see my son in Colorado! My 3rd son is an actual cowboy. He loves what he does, but it doesn’t make sense since he grew up in a city and not on a farm. But He found His passion.

Luci and I flew into Eagle/Vail and rented a car.

We stayed at The Hoffman Hotel in Basalt. I highly recommend ! It’s convenient, nice and comfy!

My daughter and I rode the bikes each morning. Coffee in the lobby was key. There is a delicious bagel shop across the highway that you can walk to or ride a bike to called Open Sesame.

We made a Costco stop in Vail and then delivered it all to my son. He has 2 dogs,cat and a goat! He works for a cattle rancher and also team ropes in the local rodeos.

We ate at the Brass Anvil in Carbondale the first night . https://www.brassanvilcarbondale.com/ It’s all locally sourced food and wonderful local beef.

Wednesday we did some shopping and checking out the local thrift stores. Luci found some great Ariat boots for $30. We had lunch at White Pizza https://www.whitehousepizza.com/ It’s delicious. Great lunch specials!

We drove over to Aspen before the Snowmass Rodeo which is every Wednesday night. It is VERY good people watching. We left the rodeo after Harrison roped and went to the Woody Creek Tavern. It’s a very local, casual,and historic bar and grill. It’s a few miles out from Aspen,

Thursday morning we rode bikes then we went on a quick horse ride. Just in the meadow where my son works. Then lunch at this cool food truck area.

Naps that afternoon to get ready for Carbondale rodeo.
