NYC girls trip 2026 ❄️❄️

My sister Tay and I decided to take our daughters and daughter-in-laws on a girls trip to New York City for their birthdays. (We missed Tay’s daughter-in-law Catie Morgan who is pregnant and could not travel). Tay had heard of The Lotte Palace Hotel and booked us rooms! It’s a great location and fabulous hotel.

My daughter Luci is the best at organizing/planning and put together a fabulous itinerary. We used Jagjit with Penny Lane Limo to pick us up at airport plus few other times during our trip. He was recommended by my “instagram” friend LivingwithLandyn. I highly recommend using him.(516-923-1002)

We had a late lunch at Balthazar! It’s a popular French restaurant and very good people watching. It was Fashion Week. So a lot of people we saw looked like they were attending whatever events they were.

We did some Shopping in SoHo. Favorites were Pink Chicken(West Village) , Zara, Big Night, Glossier and Bon Bons. Luci made purchases at Krewe and New Balance. Kendall had good luck at Zara. Hannah and I made some purchases at McKenzie Childs. Hannah got some cute childrens pjs at Pink Chicken. Meggie bought some perfume at Jo Malone. Tay bought some Gucci keychains from an Upper East Side (UES) store.

We went to Gold Room at our hotel for drinks. (Mocktails/ginger beer for me) and then ordered dinner from Emmett’s on grove delivered to hotel. It was delicious pizza.

Also CJ Hendry had a pop up with these adorable felt flowers on Valentines Day . It was in SoHo near Thompson Street. I wish I had stood in line for some.

We ate at Tacombi in the Empire State Building  It’s a wonderful Mexican place which has a few locations around New York City. It’s an interesting menu plus many good flavored Fresca‘s.

Then we had a 20 min walk to the theater from lunch. We saw “Death becomes Her” at the Lunt – Fontanne Theatre. Cleaver musical comedy. Also highly recommend.

After the show, we went to the Mark Hotel Bar for drinks. It was very interesting because there were about five dogs(all sizes) there and only about 25 people. Next was dinner at Elios. It’s a wonderful Italian restaurant. (Pro Tip-get zucchini fries as an app) We saw Paul McCarney also eating in there. It was an amazing experience.

On Monday morning, Luci, Kendall and Hannah went by the Today Show. We then met them in SoHo at McKenzie Childs. It is adorable and very fun to walk around. They ship for free if over $150. We walked to the West Village to Little Ruby’s Cafe for lunch. We had a reservation and they have delicious salads, soups, sandwiches. It’s near Taylor Swifts apartment on Cornelia Street.

We met Bonnie and Stuart Friou at Monterrey before dinner. And had fun catching up with them. We then walked to The Polo Bar.

It’s everything you hear about. It’s upscale and has an equestrian-themed atmosphere. They had hot rosemary type nuts and some fried olives sitting on the bar while we sat and waited on our table. The meal was absolutely wonderful. They serve these light and fluffy popovers with your meal. We split salads, burgers, and corned beef sandwiches plus had the pigs in a blanket for an appetizer. We were celebrating three birthdays and had three wonderful desserts after it was over. Jennifer Garner was in there. And we realized the next day she had been on Colbert that night.
