Tuscany Part 2🇮🇹 Buongiorno 🇮🇹

6th day— We headed out to go see the local silversmith I’Argenteno Firenze. His wife and Annagloria are very good friends. He makes things out of sheets of silver or those little beads of silver. It was very interesting. The afternoon we could choose what we wanted to do and we decided to go back Florence. The rest of group went to Piza. We explored over the river from where we had been the last two days. We had lunch at Osteria del Cinghiale Bianco and gelato at Gelateria della Passera and both were delicious! We walked around Santo Spirito square and went into some fun vintage shops. Back to our villa and dinner was prepared! Marina’s boyfriend Marco was with us, he is an artist and we bought one of his watercolors. Marina is Robert’s good Italian tour guide friend. She is originally from Holland and knowledgeable about all things Italy. So if you’re headed that way look her up. Steps 9,400 🚶‍♀️🚶🏽

Last day! We started out with some locals pastries RSJ brought to us before we had our pasta making class. Massimo and his wife taught us at their restaurant. Osteria La Gramola is a very small town local place where we ate dinner that night. Next on to Siena and had lunch in the Tower at a tiny place called Trattoria La Torre. Delicious! 🍝Marina gave us an informative tour of the Duomo di Siena. There was a fascinating mosaic marble floor and it was designed and completed 1215 and 1263. The Siena square is fan shaped and surrounded by medieval brick buildings. There are 17 neighborhoods that go out from the square. They host the Palio horseraces 2x a year.
