My sisters and I went with our mom Elizabeth Cossar to The King and Prince in St Simons GA for her 80th birthday 🎂 ..No children..No husbands.. Just us!
The King and Prince is a wonderful Georgia Resort on St Simons Island. This historic resort has a lot of southern hospitality and beautiful views. It’s located directly on the Atlantic Ocean and offers outdoor dining for 3 meals a day! They have a HUGE tent for outdoor weddings and receptions. Gelato and coffee shop More King and Prince photos!
Our shopping recommendations: Savannah Bee Company has cool store. We loved Diana Bailey (@dianebaileydesigns) and her ladies shop! We also liked Go Fish, Viola Market, Two Friends (@twofriends-stsimons), Butlers Stash, KJ Clothier, and Bailey Boys (@the_bailey_boys). Bailey Boys’s is a wonderful local children’s clothes line that also has fabulous back room with lots of choices and deep discounts on their clothes.

Our food recommendations: Porch is a great spot for lunch. For dinner, Coastal kitchen (delicious shrimp salad and great views), Ember (delicious pizza and Brussels sprout appetizer), Halyard’s (fabulous shrimp taco), and lastly Tramici (excellent service, pizza, & chicken piccata) . Also Echo At The King and Prince very good. If you happen to be there on a Wednesday lots of fun happening with the karaoke singer!
The Island Day Spa is wonderful! My massage was in of the top 5! We all loved our therapists! Highly recommend! 💆♀️
Day trip to Darian GA ..beautiful trees, old churches, delicious outdoor lunch at Skippers and a very unique chocolates shop called Sugar Marsh Cottage. Shipwreck photos from pier. Look up Golden Ray shipwreck.. there were 4200 cars on board when it capsized right at St Simons Beach photos from King and Prince. Everyday is different due to tide. Savannah BeeTwo Friends recommendations Shopping Eagles Nest Holes over the marsh The King and Prince golf course Christ Church and Cemetery. It dates back to 1808. Charles and John Wesley came here from England in 1736. The cemetery is the oldest in Georgia. The oldest marked grave is 1803. It is still an active Episcopal church. It has a very engaging museum and residence connected to it. There is a lot of history there. It was built in 1872. We did go to the top! There is a walkway all the way around the top but I couldn’t do it.. My sister did walk out on the outdoor area! There are 129 steps to the top in very narrow steps! It costs $12 .. there is also a new WWII museum that we didn’t have time to tour. My middle sister Tay Morgan made a private Facebook group asking all of my moms friends to send cards to me to take to her on our trip. It was a very fun night activity and she got around 130-ish cards! It was a Huge surprise!
