We had a fun family trip to DC to see the Cherry Blossoms and Bruce Springsteen! We missed Harrison and James.

Southwest Airlines got us there with zero problems. We walked around Navy Yard on the first day. We ate at El BeBe then had coffee at Compass Coffee. We walked around a new indoor putting course called The Swingers. That night we ate at All Purpose Pizza and enjoyed delicious Caesar salad and pizza! We had dessert at Kilwin’s Ice Cream 🍨🍦

On Sunday we walked to the Wharf, saw the cherry blossoms, Washington Monument, Albert Einstein, and also the Kite Festival! Beautiful day with lots and lots of walking. We had lunch at The Hamilton. Dinner at Caruso’s! Highly recommend it, it’s a family favorite hole-in-the-wall Italian restaurant.

Monday morning, we took off for the American History Museum. We enjoyed the First Ladies exhibit and walking around the mall. We had lunch at Rasika which is a yummy Indian restaurant. My sister Mary Payne and her bff Mary met us. After lunch we took an Alto to Arlington Cemetery (Alto is like an Uber but different – the drivers are all screened and all drive same car. They give out bottled waters and umbrellas which was key to our visit to Arlington). Then we got ready for the big night. Bruce Springsteen at the Capitol One Arena! We had a box and it was so much fun. Pics and videos to follow! An unforgettable night for sure.
